Raéf

Product Designer & SEO Expert

I make things pretty. Then I make sure Google can find them. My superpower is designing interfaces that pass both the aesthetic test and the Lighthouse audit (yes, they are related.)

Diagnosis

Chronic perfectionism with acute side-project syndrome. Prognosis: will keep designing anyway. Recommended treatment: more coffee and at least one shipped product per quarter.

Origin Story

Raéf started out as a pure designer, making pixels dance and stakeholders weep with joy. Then one day, someone asked him, "Can you make this rank on page one?" and a new obsession was born.

Now he lives at the intersection of "does this look good?" and "can people actually find it?" - a beautiful, chaotic place where design systems meet sitemaps and where every microcopy decision is a delicate balance between brand voice and keyword density.

By day, he crafts interfaces that users (and search engine crawlers) love. By night, he can be found debugging a flexbox layout at 1am, rewriting a meta description for the 12th time, or explaining to non-designers why that logo should really be 2px smaller.

"I don't just want you to find my work. I want you to find it beautiful. And then Google should find it first."

Obsessions

Design

  • Arguing about 8px vs 12px border-radius at 2am
  • Redesigning my portfolio for the 4th time this year
  • Collecting design systems like Pokemon cards
  • Silently judging apps with bad kerning
  • Writing 3-page rationale for moving a button 4px left

Tech

  • Starting side projects I will never finish
  • Benchmarking frameworks I will never use in production
  • Having strong opinions about tabs vs spaces (it is spaces. Obviously.)
  • Buying gadgets because they look good in flat lay photos
  • Manufacturing FOMO about every new AI tool

Other

  • Perfecting my pour-over coffee recipe (still bad, though)
  • Making terrible puns in meetings and laughing alone
  • Curating a playlist for every possible mood, then listening to the same 3 songs on repeat
  • Convincing people that yes, I do need another mechanical keyboard
  • Losing arguments with my cat about who controls the desk space

The Paradoxes of Raéf

The Minimalist Maximalist

Loves clean, minimal design. Has 47 browser tabs open, 3 unfinished Sketch files, and a desktop cluttered with screenshots of "inspo."

The SEO Idealist

Believes content should be beautiful and meaningful. Will still keyword-optimize a 3-line about page until it reads like a love letter to Google's algorithm.

The Early Adopter Who Is Always Late

First in line for every beta. Last person on earth to actually finish setting it up.
